Reading your piece reminds me of this: one day when I was reading the first chapter of Jeremiah, the thought came to me that when God called Jeremiah, God was like a supervisor who picks an employee out to do a certain job. The employee protests, saying, “I’m not experienced enough. I don’t know enough.” But God says, “You are the person I have in mind for this job. You are the one I want. You do the job. I will take responsibility for the results.”

What a diamond in the rough was this Peter. But thank God, He polished with many strokes to brighten him into the precious jewel that we now meet in his letters.
Your writing is so excellent, thought provoking and inspiring. It’s hard to picture you as that frazzled mom of five. Maybe that diamond in the rough metaphor can describe you as well. Your son’s picture is so precious.
