And here I am, Vera, Lynn’s friend from Germany (East-Germany). God truly worked in my heart from when I was very little and prepared me through all these years to “hear him knocking on my door”. And I opened the door, let Him in, and locked the door again. No way out for Him. I will get the book and read the entire story since parts of it seem to parallel my journey. The translation “beacon….” does not make any sense to me, so I stick to “light-fire”.
And yes, I also had my share of embarrassment or laughter or ended up with something in my shopping basket that I didn’t want / need because of translation “traps”.

Thank you, precious friend Lynn, for sharing this lovely story with me. Very inspiring!! I will get the book and read the entire story…even though I never had to speak about belief and faith in German. I often have to use the dictionary to find the correct meaning of words because I honestly don’t know them.
