Three boys in four years over here. Then we caught our breath and had one more boy six years later. I do miss it. A. Lot. But those early years were the most intense, lovely, terrifying, exhausting ones. Onto the teen years – and I would love to read what my future self would tell me about this stage. Perhaps a writing exercise for tomorrow? Yours is an important message of encouragement for the young mama.

Especially during deer hunting, it feels like I am drowning and may not emerge alive. But it does help to know that it doesn’t last forever. One day they will be more independent and I will have time to study the Bible on a regular basis. And that God is using this season to refine and grow me.
